Olympic legend Michael Phelps is modeling in new ads for Louis Vuitton shot by famous photographer/the only photographer people know anymore Annie Leibovitz. I think there are a lot of things that Phelps is good at but I’m not sure modeling is one of them. What do you think?

Status Quo Team

So last Olympics Team USA Basketball was the ‘Redeem Team,’ taking back the our title in basketball. So I guess this year they should be called the ‘Status Quo Team.’ All they have to do is go there and win like last time. That should be easy right? They have the best talent of the NBA(that’s not currently injured): LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul. Looking at the line-up it is a little troubling that there is only one center, Knicks’ Tyson Chandler. Chandler is great if he doesn’t run into foul trouble.
Team USA just added Thunder’s James Harden and his beard to the mix. Which is definitely a smart move in terms of defense. They also added another great defender 76er’s Andre Iguodala. They will be joining the rest of the team: Carmelo Anthony, Blake Griffin, Kevin Love, Deron Williams, and Russell Westbrook.
It is a killer team if they can figure out how to play together. But I would still be watching out for Spain and France. Especially since Tony Parker is all good to play now for France.

A Sex Offender Scared Me

This story is so random that I am not sure what to think of it. Ohio State football recruit, Alex Anzalone, is leaving the school because a sex offender posted photos of the two together online. Now I know when you first read this you think, dirty photos. No basically this guy, Charles Eric Waugh, found Anzalone during a recruiting trip and asked to have a photo taken with him in a public place. Then Waugh put the pictures up online. Waugh was found guilty of five counts of possession of underage sexual content. Waugh also reached out to Anzalone, other recruits, Ohio State coaches, and athletes online. No one has said what the connect of the messages were. But it must have been pretty intense to make Anzalone give up his slot at Ohio State, who team is shaping up to be pretty good this year.
The school has sent out Waugh’s mug shot to everyone and is taking the necessary precautions. I’m not sure whether Anzalone was scared of a sex offender scandal breaking out because he was in a photo with this guy or if he just wasn’t really feeling Ohio State.

Ryan Tannehill’s Wife is Hot

In case you were thinking how attractive the Dolphin’s new quarterback, Ryan Tannehill, is stop because his wife is smoking hot. She is so hot that apparently the media was more taken with her than Mr. Tannehill. There were over 800 tweets about Lauren Tannehill after she appeared on television with her new hubby during last nights draft. She is an aspiring model so this will be a big boost for her. I guess Tannehill didn’t need the fame to get a hot chick. Personally I think they are an adorable couple, just like Barbie and Ken.

Who Is This Sarah Phillips Chick?
3 MayThis is kind of a bizarre story. Sarah Phillips was a
sportsgambling reporter for ESPN and Covers.com. Apparently, Phillips used her credentials to take advantage of two people on the internet. In one case Phillips took over someones Facebook page after he allowed her to be an administrator and then she shut him out. The Facebook page, in case you want to check it out, is NBA Memes. It is actually a very funny sports page.Then Phillips took money from another guy online who she convinced would help her launch her own gambling site. The guy gave her around $2,000. Then based on some betting advice from this investor Phillips placed a bet and then lost $5,000. Instead of taking the loss she billed the guy for $5,000. Don’t we wish we could all bill our bookies for bad advice?
The story gets even weirder because ESPN has never met Phillips in person. There is a lot of speculation of who she really is and if her handle photo is actually of her. Phillips was hired for Covers.com and ESPN after posting comments on their sites about gambling. She apparently had a knack for gambling reporting or was ghostwriting for someone who did. Now ESPN has fired Phillips and everyone else is cutting ties.
This all just seems pretty sketchy. It’s like that movie “Catfish” all over again.
