Ryan Lochte Back in the Water

It just occurred to me that I had stalked swimmer Ryan Lochte recently on the internet. I feeling this incredibly hotness void in my life that had to be filled. I know many of you are still grieving Lochte’s rejection from ABC’s “The Bachelor.” There was a lot of talk of Lochte having his own reality show as well. But alas it seems that Lochte is leaving Hollywood behind and going back to swimming. Don’t worry we can still watch his cameos in “90210″ and “30 Rock” this fall. But there won’t be the full Karadashian access that many of us want. If any reality show producers are reading please call Lochte and give him his own show. If “The Hills” can exist as a show there is no reason why a Lochte version, “The Waves” cannot. And even if it just involves watching him swim for 8 hours, I would still watch.

Maybe Hollywood thinks that Lochte is not engaging enough for his own show. It definitely doesn’t help that Seth MacFarlane did a not so complimentary potrayal of Lochte on SNL’s “Weekend Update” last Saturday. Reality television should not discriminate on personality or lack of because if it gets standards how will dumb/beautiful people survive in the world.

My New Favorite Olympian- Destinee Hooker

28 Jul

I would like to start off by apologizing for spelling Destinee Hooker’s name wrong on Twitter. I mistakenly thought it was spelled Destiny as in Destiny’s Child. You can see where the confusion could happen. Although you may think that I like Hooker because of her wildly unique name(which if anyone knows the origin of-please write and share), it is actually because she is an amazing player.

Today Hooker helped lead team USA Volleyball past South Korea, 3-1. Hooker had 21 points and 19 spikes. Currently USA is ranked number 1 in volleyball. Team USA will take on Brazil on Monday. Brazil beat USA four years ago so it will be an interesting match.

We will be watching.

Anderson Silva Wins Again

8 Jul

Remember that big UFC fight that was happening on Saturday . . . . Well Chael Sonnen should officially shut his mouth. As expected Anderson Silva beat him again. And all is right with the world. Silva has not been defeated for 15 straight matches now which is the longest streak in UFC history.

Sonnen came out strong in the first five minutes putting Silva on the ground. But couldn’t hold onto and Silva came back in the second round. Silva got a knee on Sonnens chest and pinned him against the cage wall. With 1:55 in the second round a TKO(technical knockout) was called and Silva won. A technical knockout means that a referee decides a fighter can no longer intelligently defend himself or in laymans’ terms he might get killed.

So there you have it the end of trash talk from Sonnen for now . . . maybe he will want another rematch in a couple of years.
