So the mega confusing trade deal that would land Dwight Howard with the Brooklyn Nets is already unraveling. If you want to know the particular of it reference my earlier post, “The Most Confusing Trade Ever.” The deal was a four way trade between: Orlando Magic, Brooklyn Nets, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Los Angeles Clippers. Now Cleveland is having second thoughts and has axed the idea. Maybe they realized that they were helping to create another juggernaut team that destroy them. Or maybe they realized they didn’t really need anything out of the deal.
Cleveland main role was to help free up salary for the Brooklyn Nets by taking Kris Humphries. So now the Nets are scrambling to see who else can he else can help them out. Meanwhile the Magic is back to looking at the Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets as homes for Howard. The problem is that Andrew Bynum, the only valuable player to Orlando, won’t accept an extension with them. Meaning they could get him for a year then be stuck rebuilding again. Not to mention the Lakers don’t have the salary space for Howard.
I’m not being traded but man is this situation frustrating. The Magic should have dumped Howard before when he was asking to be traded.
