Celtics Even Things Out

3 Jun

It looked like the Boston Celtics might totally sweep the shit out of the Miami Heat but I knew the Heat would return. The Heat came from a 18 point deficit to tie with the Celtics and push the game into overtime. But is just wasn’t enough the Celtics won 93-91.

The usual things happened in the game Paul Pierce fouled out with 4:22 left on the clock. At least Pierce stuck around to watch the rest of the game this time. And boy was he happy because he got to see MVP LeBron James foul out with 1:51 left in overtime. It was only the 4th time in James’ NBA career that he fouled out of a game. He couldn’t have picked a worse time to have it happen. It was James’ 3-pointer that tied the game and sent it into overtime. Without him everything fell to Dwayne Wade. With just 21 seconds on the clock Wade went for a 3-pointer that would have won the Heat the game. Instead of having that instant amazing moment the ball bounced off the rim and the Celtics tied the series, 2-2.

Lauren Tannehill Does Maxim

3 Jun

Sports sensation Lauren Tannehill posed for Maxim magazine. I’m sorry when I said sports sensation I meant hot chick married to quarterback. If you have forgotten her husband is Ryan Tannehill and he plays for the Miami Dolphins. I am really hoping he has a good season so he can get out of the shadow of his wife. Can’t wait for the issue to hit the stands. And of course we can catch Hard Knocks on HBO with the Miami Dolphins Lauren.

Oh Spurs It’s Hurts Me to Watch

3 Jun

I’m sorry for delay in covering the Game 4 of the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs match-up. I may have had a little too much to drink and am just recalling what actually happened in Saturday night’s game. I remember something about Ryan Seacrest, man that guy is everywhere. I can’t believe Seacrest could get tickets but Lil Wayne couldn’t, I think we see the Thunder’s standards for celebrity courtsiders.  The Thunder again dominated Spurs and won, 109-103. Which I know looking at it doesn’t seem that bad but it did not feel like a close game. The Spurs didn’t seem like they were in a rush to close the gap in the 3rd and 4th quarter.

The closet the Spurs got was within 4 points only to be smacked back down by Kevin Durant with 16 points in 5 minutes. It kind of felt like the Spurs just didn’t care. Like they are just killing time until they have the home court advantage again in Game 5 on Monday. And now all the sports announcer who used to say, ‘No question the Spurs will win the series’ are now changing their tunes to ‘I always secretively thought the Thunder would win.’
