Back in the day before social media we would all just bitch to our friends about how much it sucked when a player missed that crucial shot. Now thanks to Twitter we can tell them directly. And unfortunately some crazies out there like to take it too far and threaten the athletes’ family. That’s what happened to Laker Steve Blake and his wife Kristen. Blake missed a potential game winning 3-pointer in Game 2 against the Thunder on Tuesday. Since then apparently Blake’s wife has received death threats on her Twitter account.
To whomever is death tweeting the Blake family- CHILL OUT. It was only Game 2. There is time for the Lakers to come back. All you have to do is believe in them and they will win (okay so that might not work but maybe it will help with your anger management issues).
Stories like this always make me wonder. If random player Steve Blake is getting death tweets, what does Dwayne Wade’s twitter account look like today?
