Dwight Howard’s back surgery went well and the Orlando Magic center is starting a walking program today. Recovery is a slow process and Howard will be missing the rest of the season. Howard will also be missing out on the Olympics this summer. Now the Olympics are looking for a replacement. One thing is clear Laker’s Andrew Bynum is not interested in being an Olympic athlete. Bynum doesn’t want to risk his knees in the off season. The way players are falling these season I can’t say that I blame him. Howard’s return to basketball all depends on the rehabilitation process. One thing is clear the Magic are missing Howard, who scored 20.6 points on average a game.
There has been a lot of drama around Howard this season. First with the trading rumors that made Howard into Lebron Number 2 in the eyes of the public. Then there was the drama around Howard wanting Magic coach Stan Van Gundy, which he denied. Needless to say Howard really needs a solid recovery to get his career back on track.
