Can I just start out by saying that I never thought that I would be watching a Lakers, Clippers game thinking the Lakers might be the underdogs. The Lakers beat the Clippers tonight, 113-108. Both teams had the home court advantage, although technically they had the Clippers logo displayed. According to my friends they also change the lighting on Clippers nights and we all know what a difference lighting makes. Up until tonight the Clippers had been on a 6 game winning streak. Andrew Bynum who had been out due to an ankle problem was back in full force with 36 points for the Lakers. Kobe Bryant followed him with 31 points. Ramon Session also earned his keep with the Lakers by racking up 16 points and 8 assist.
Caron Bulter, who was very briefly a Laker what seems like a million years ago, scored 28 points for the Clippers. Chris Paul had 22 points and 16 assist. Perhaps the most interesting play in the game is when Blake Griffin literally dunked over Pau Gasol. In defense of Gasol it should have been an offensive foul. The worst part is that Griffin did dunked over Gasol twice tonight. The best part is that after the first dunk you can clearly see Bynum going “damn, that’s got to hurt in the background.”
