Johnson is Rolling in Dough

14 Mar

The Detroit Lions have made wide receiver Calvin Johnson the highest paid receiver in the NFL. He will be making somewhere around $132 million for an 8-year contract. Johnson led the league with 1,681 yards receiving. There is no Johnson is an amazing player not only that but he brings in big merchandising money. I think people forget jerseys and team wear are a big industry for teams.

Now the question is can the Lions get a better running backs to make their money worth it.

Everyone Hates Dwight Howard

14 Mar

LeBron James should be writing a thank you note to Dwight Howard right now for taking over as the most hated NBA player. How do you piss off NBA fans? It is simple leave the team that gave you your start for more money. As I have previous stated Howard is on the look-out for greener pastures particularly New York pastures. Now the Orlando Magic are left with a tough decision keep Howard till July or trade him right away?

It is pretty clear that no matter what the Magic do Howard is not sticking around. Howard sees the Magic as a sinking ship and he is jumping off while he can. In an attempt to be nice he is saying he play till July but is that really what’s best for the Magic? My advice, if you know someone is going to dump you it is better to dump them first. We will find out their decision Thursday.

Knicks Done with Coach

14 Mar

After losing six straight games bringing an end to Linsanity the Knicks have fired coach Mike D’Antoni. D’Antoni and Carmelo Anthony could never really get on the same page, even though Anthony said he supported him very little 100%. Today Anthony swashed rumors that he wanted to leave the Knicks. Why bother leaving now that he has gotten rid of D’Antoni? I think everyone knows the problem with the Knicks is Carmelo. It doesn’t take a genius to see that without him they were on a winning streak and with him they are on a losing streak.

It is sad that D’Antoni is having to pay the price for Carmelo’s mistakes. If I were the Knicks I would trade Carmelo because soon they might be competing with another NY powerhouse the Brooklyn Nets.

President Obama Betting on UNC

14 Mar

President Obama filled out his bracket on Tuesday and he picked UNC to win it all. Apparently President Obama hasn’t heard the hype around of a little team named Kentucky. He put Kentucky, UNC, Ohio State and Missouri in the final four. He predicted Baylor would be the only upset team. I would have picked Baylor as an upset but I don’t see them getting past Duke or Notre Dame. Although UNC won the last time Obama was up for election, I am thinking this is a Kentucky year.

Watch the video of the President making his picks.
