Kobe Share the Ball!!!!

8 Mar

I actually missed last night’s game. I wasn’t too concerned because I was sure that the Lakers would win over the Washington Wizards. Much to my surprise they lost, 106 to 101. This has been a bad week for the Lakers who also lost to Detroit on Tuesday, 88-85. So what is happening? Kobe Bryant missed 9 out of 10 shots attempts in the second half.

Since Kobe is basically the team when he sucks the Lakers suck. But here is the thing that Kobe doesn’t realize he has some pretty amazing teammate like Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum. In fact if Kobe doesn’t start passing the ball to them Gasol maybe packing his bags. You know it bad when even Gasol is on Spanish radio calling Kobe selfish.  Does coach Mike Brown have the guts to stand up to Kobe and tell him to pass the ball? Let this be a lesson to preschoolers everywhere sharing is a good thing and can make you a lot of money.

Basketball Man to the Rescue

8 Mar

Okay so we all know that Kobe Bryant is pretty sick of his face mask. Originally Kobe was wearing a clear face mask but briefly decided to switch to a black mask. I really love this photo. Who do you think would be his sidekick? I thinking something like Spaniard Man Pau Gasol. Now if Kobe could only use his powers to actually make shots?

Everybody Loves Peyton

8 Mar

Peyton Manning was single for about a minute before receiving 12 calls from prospective teams. Manning is saying that he will pick a team in the next week. The list of potentials include: Arizona Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks, Washington Redskins, Miami Dolphins, Kansas City Chiefs(Why they still have this mascot is beyond me?), Denver Broncos, and New York Jets. The two that seem most unlikely from this list are Denver Broncos and New York Jets. The Broncos have a little known QB by the name of Mr. Tim Tebow so I’m not sure how that would work out. It feels a little like he is the hot girl in high school who is suddenly single and everybody wants him but doesn’t quite know what to do when they get him.

My money is on the Dolphins.

Syracuse Takes Down UConn

8 Mar

It was unlikely that UConn(9) was going to beat Syracuse(1) today at Madison Square Garden. Syracuse won 58-55 in overtime. The star for Syracuse was Dion Waiters with 18 points and a team high. But if it weren’t for James Southerland hitting all 10 shots at the end than Syracuse might have lost. Syracuse had only 4 turnovers compared to UConn’s 10, which could be a big problem advancing forward.

With such outstanding young players like Shabazz Napier and Andre Drummond we can expect to see UConn back and even better next year. Syracuse will play either Cincinnati(4) or Georgetown (5) Friday at 7:00pm ET. I think Syracuse will win against either team and advance forward. But I would be shocked if Syracuse can take down Kentucky.
